JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Communications Manager will have the exciting task of
taking our brand to the next level, after a major rebrand was
undertaken last year. They will be responsible for creating and
delivering a new marketing communications strategy as and executing on
crucial aspects of our fundraising strategy.
They will also contribute to Rethink Ireland?s operations and
management as a valued member of the Management team. The Marketing
Communications Manager will report to the Business Development
Director and will be supported by a Marketing team of up to 4 direct
reports.
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
* Create and deliver a new three-year marketing communications plan
for Rethink Ireland that will embed our brand into Irish society as
well as begin our brand-building activities in Europe and
internationally
* Manage and motivate the marketing team to deliver on marketing
objectives and report on marketing performance at relevant management
meetings
* Manage and oversee the Rethink Ireland marketing budgets, ensuring
financial governance is followed at all times
* Work closely with the Business Development team to design and
deliver campaigns that promote Rethink Ireland and lead to income
generation for the organisation
* Manage excellent relationships with funders, donors, and awardees
and coordinate a calendar of activities for donor and prospect
communication
* Work closely with our Portfolio Management Team and Business
Intelligence Unit to gather strong impact stories and data to create
compelling marketing materials and campaigns
* Report on marketing performance and present new communications
plans to Leadership Team and the Board as required
* Other duties as assigned
* Like all staff, act as an ambassador for Rethink Ireland at all
times.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You may come from the non-profit or private sector but you will have
worked in a fast-paced environment which required creativity,
laughter, and a ruthless ability to meet deadlines. We are looking for
someone with experience who is collaborative and excellent at managing
relationships both internal and external.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* At least five years experience in a marketing or communications
role
* Experience in leading on the strategic direction of marketing or
communications campaigns to customers, donors or public audiences
* Experience in managing budgets and a demonstrated ability to meet
deadlines
* Ability to build strong relationships, connect with and manage a
wide range of stakeholders including suppliers, donors, journalists
and your colleagues
* Experience of working to objectives or targets
* Consistent excellence in verbal & written communications in
English ? the ability to write effectively and persuasively is a
must
* Third level qualification at Bachelor?s level
* Flexible, warm & friendly personality who can work well in a team
environment
* A commitment to excellence and close attention to detail
